The typical steps in the process to establish a business in the UK are;

  1. Register a UK company or branch
  2. Register with HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) for corporation tax, VAT and Pay As You Earn (PAYE)
  3. Set up bookkeeping and financial reporting systems and processes
  4. Set up a UK bank account
  5. Take on employees
  6. Set up relevant insurances
  7. Have regular meetings with your Accountant and Tax Adviser to ensure you are compliant and also optimising tax deductions
  8. Year end filing process including annual accounts, audit and corporate tax return (CT600)
